PPP likely to rejoin PDM as Bilawal meets Fazlur Rehman
PPP Chairman has met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief and PDM head Fazlur Rehman
Islamabad: Major change is about to happen in Pakistan's current political scenario as Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman today, several months after parting ways with opposition’s alliance party.
According to details, PPP Chairman has met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief and PDM head Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad.
Bilawal was accompained by Senior PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani during his visit to Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The meeting is being considered as an ice-breaker between the two sides, as PPP is likely to rejoin PDM, amid the opposition’s alliance party is planning to initiate no-confidance motion in senate and national assembly against chairman Senate Sadiq Sinjrani and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.
Following the meeting, the leaders exchanged their socio-political views over ongoing political scenario and anti-government strategy.
The increasing inflation in country over essential commodities was also discussed in the meet up.
Earlier, the opposition’s alliance had asked the Bilawal to explain why his party sought support from the treasury benches for Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani's election to the post of Leader of the Opposition in Senate.
