While addressing the NA session, PM thanked the lawmakers and his allies for their support and confidence in him.

You have always supported me in difficult times for which I am thankful to you all. I have firm belief that whenever you come out of a difficult time, you get stronger,” he said commending the way his party reacted after senate upset.

Referring to senate polls, Imran Khan said that it was highly embarrassing the way elections of upper house were held in Islamabad.

Criticizing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari, PM said that they are thieves and plunderers, who have blackmailing his government for National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

“After we lost senate seat in Islamabad, everyone was chanting this slogan aik Zardari sab pe bhaari. It is not a matter of pride as he is referred to that and Mr 10 per cent because of his corrupt practices. On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif faked sickness to go abroad so that he could avoid the court proceedings of his corruption and theft,” he said.

PM also termed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who defeated PTI's Hafeez Shaikh in the recent Senate polls, as one of the most corrupt politicians in the country.

"In order to get a clear picture, just compare Gillani’s assets before he became a PM with his wealth after he became premier." PM said.

Imran Khan said that in order to save future generations of this country, it is highly essential to get rid of corruption.

“The biggest challenge we are facing is of inflation but my government and team is working efficiently to tackle that," he said.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan got vote of confidence in the National Assembly after securing 178 votes, six more than needed. The announcement was made by NA Speaker Asad Qaiser.
