Misuse of criminal law can be debated instead opposing: Fawad Ch

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said effective prevention of misuse of the criminal law could be debated instead of opposing its existence.

On his official twitter handle, the Federal Minister said, the defamation was dealt under the civil law but false accusation and ridiculing were the well-defined Islamic laws with strict recommended penalties for the violators.

ھتک عزت سول قانون ہے لیکن تہمت،تضحیک اور بہتان اسلامک لاء کے واضع قوانین ہیں اور اس جرم پرسخت سزائیں ہیں خصوصاًسورہ النِساࣿ میں خواتین پر تہمت تو حدہےلہذاٰ یہ کہنا درست نہی کہ کریمنل قانون بنانا غلط ہے،بحث یہ ہونی چاہئےکہ غلط استعمال روکا جائے نہ کہ یہ کہ قانون ہونا ہی نہیں چاہئے
