National Assembly Secretariat declares no-confidence motion in accordance with rules
The meeting is expected on any day before March 22.
Islamabad: The National Assembly Secretariat has declared the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan as per the rules, GNN reported on Sunday.
According to details, the National Assembly Secretariat has completed the verification of the signatures of the opposition members on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and recusal of convening the meeting.
The first stage was the requisition and the second was the ratification of the signatures on the no-confidence motion. Both phases were reviewed for movement's completion and compliance with the rules.
Sources said that the signatures of any member on the no-confidence motion and requisition did not turn out to be suspicious or against the role of the sign.
Subsequently, the National Assembly Secretariat has declared the opposition movement against Imran Khan as per rules.
Sources said that the Assembly Secretariat has also suggested the Speaker convening a meeting on any day before March 22.
The National Assembly Secretariat has said that convening a meeting is a constitutional requirement that cannot be deviated from.
