Govt offers deputy chairman senate seat to JUI-F in a surprise move
Islamabad: Government has offered the seat of deputy chairman senate to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) in a surprising move.
According to details, Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak has confirmed that government has offered the seat of deputy chairman senate to Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
Following the statement, when a journalist inquired from Abdul Ghaffor Haideri if he has been nominated as deputy chairman senate, he replied,
“I have not been informed about this decision formally as yet.”
It is pertinent to mention here that opposition’s alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has failed to reach a consensus over the name of joint candidate.
