Gujranwala: At least three people were killed in a firing incident in Gujranwala.

According to GNN, a quarrel broke out between the Royal Palm City – a private housing society management and property-owners in Gujranwala. The landowners have accused the housing society of not paying them for their lands.

The dispute between the landowners and the society has been going on for almost a week.
As per recent report, as many as three people were succumbed to injuries and nine were wounded in the firing episode. The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to the details, the landlords were protesting in support of their demands when an argument broke out between the security guards of the housing society and the protesters which escalated into a scuffle.
The protesters alleged that security guards opened fire which resulted into death and injury of several people whereas clashes between protesters and guards continued for about two hours.
After clash, a heavy police contingent has been also deployed in the area and at the hospital.
Aujla and Associates, the developers of the Royal Pam City, said the company paid the full amount for the land acquired by them. Landowners are now demanding more money which is illegal, it said.
Whereas, the protesters have blocked the GT Road, and said that they won't move till justice is served. The traffic is blocked on National Highway from Kamonki towards Rawalpindi.
