Karachi: The Pakistan Tehreej-e-Insaaf (PTI) on Thursday announced expulsion of two of its members of the Sindh Assembly (MPAs) for violating rules and discipline, who voted against the party’s candidates during the Senate polls held on March 03.

According to details, the PTI’s Standing Committee on Accountability and Discipline (SCAD) announced the verdict stating that both MPAs were given a chance to justify their acts but they failed to do so.
The committee has also recommended moving Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take further action against the two members of provincial assembly.
Earlier, SCAD had issued show-cause notices to Abro and Shar for violating party discipline.
In the letter signed by SCAD Chairman Salman Aftab, both MPAs were told that they “spoke against the party’s policy in the media and hurled accusations on the party’s leadership. This act of yours is against the PTI’s party policy and the party’s constitution.”
It may be recalled that Aslam Abro and Shehryar Shar had refused to vote for party candidate and had openly announced to vote for Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate in senate polls.
