Washington: United States (US) President Joe Biden has said he is hopeful that America will be free from Covid-19 on July 04 if people continue to get vaccination.

While addressing nation, Joe Biden said that he would direct all states to make all adults eligible for vaccinations by May 01.
Presently, the country is vaccinating only elderly and those suffering from health conditions.
Urging people to follow social distancing, Biden eyed an important date in the calendar for when small groups could get together again.
“If we do this together, by July 04, there is a good chance you, your family and friends can get together in your backyard and celebrate Independence Day. The country would be able to not only celebrate Independence Day but also independence from this virus,” he said.
Biden had set a target of administering 100 million vaccinations by his 100th day in office.
"Beating the virus and getting back to normal relies on national unity," he said.
So far, the coronavirus pandemic has left more than 529,000 people dead in the US and infected over 29 million.
