The election process continued in a peaceful atmosphere.
Hangu: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Nadeem Khayal has won the by-election on vacant seat of NA-33 Hangu.
As per unofficial results of all 210 polling stations in Hangu constituency NA-33, PTI candidate Nadeem Khayal obtained total 21,583 votes against Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s party, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
As per preliminary result of all polling stations issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI candidate Nadeem Khayal secured 20,772 votes while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) candidate Ubaidullah got 18,244 votes.
The Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Saeed Umar is also in competition with 3,800 votes for the third position.
Reportedly, the election process continued in a peaceful atmosphere.
The seat had fallen vacant due to the death of PTI’s Member National Assembly Khayal Zaman in February, this year.
It may be recalled that in 2018, the PTI’s Khayal Zaman had won the seat with a lead of 800 votes and in 2022 by-polls.
After demise of Khayal Zaman, his son Dr Nadeem Khayal was awarded party’s ticket.
