Punjab CM orders release of Shireen Mazari from ACE's custody
Hamza Shehbaz directs the Rawalpindi police to ensure release of Shireen Mazari from the custody of the Anti-Corruption
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has ordered the release of PTI leader and former federal minister Shireen Mazari.
According to a news release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations (DGPR), the CM directed the Rawalpindi police to ensure release of Shireen Mazari from the custody of the Anti-Corruption.
He said Shireen Mazari as a woman was respect worthy and that he had ordered for her release.
Shehbaz said the arrest of any woman didn't hold compatibility with our moral values.
He maintained that investigation should also be made against the Anti-Corruption staff for arresting Shireen Mazari.
Shehbaz, however, underscored that if the arrest is inevitable as a result of investigation then the law would take its own course.
The chief minister said he didn't agree with the arrest procedure of Shireen Mazari, adding PML-N as a political party believed in giving respect to women.
The CM condemned the indecent language being uttered about Maryam Nawaz but taking revenge is not our tradition and practice.
