Islamabad: Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), seeking court order to withdraw a show cause notice of contempt of court against him.
In the application, Imran said that there was no legal justification for registration of the case against him.
In his reply, Imran Khan has said that if the words were inappropriate, then he is ready to take them back.
He said that the court should evaluate the speech with the context, adding that he has followed the law and constitution throughout his life. "I do not believe in hurting the feelings of the judges".
Imran Khan has requested that the show cause notice of contempt of court be withdrawn.
Imran had been booked in a terrorism case following his speech during PTI’s public gathering at Islamabad’s F-9 Park earlier this month in which he allegedly threatened a lady magistrate for granting party leader Shahbaz Gill’s physical remand to the police.
