Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered the waiver of the fuel adjustment charges for all consumers.
Announcing the verdict, Justice Jawad Hassan of LHC Rawalpindi Bench ordered concession for all consumers instead of 200 units.
The petition was filed by Chaudhary Rizwan Elahi advocate from the consumers.
It merits mention that on August 23, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that 17 million of the total power consumers will be exempted from paying the high fuel charges adjustment (FCA) in their electricity bills.
