London: Prime Minister Liz Truss has appointed her new cabinet, hours after taking charge of the office.
A statement released read, “The prime minister has appointed a cabinet which represents the depth and breadth of talent in the Conservative Party."
For the first time none of the great offices of state is held by a white man, with Suella Braverman as home secretary, Kwasi Kwarteng as chancellor and James Cleverly as foreign secretary.
The prime minister’s spokesperson has said her cabinet will unify the Conservative Party and deliver for the country.
The cabinet includes:
