Soldier, civilian martyred in North Waziristan suicide attack: ISPR
Nine innocent civilians were also injured in the incident.
Rawalpindi: One security personnel and one civilian embraced martyrdom in a suicide attack in Miran Shah area of North Waziristan District.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), nine innocent civilians were also injured in the incident.
President Dr. Arif Alvi has vowed to continue efforts till the remnants of terrorism are extirpated.
In a statement, denouncing the suicide blast in Miranshah area of North Waziristan, the President said the entire nation stands united in fight against terrorism.
He condoled with the bereaved families of those martyred in the incident and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly denounced the suicide blast in Miranshah area of North Waziristan.
In a statement, he expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of one security personnel and a civilian in the incident. He also condoled with bereaved families.
He said those carrying out suicide attacks on Muslims cannot be Muslims.
The Prime Minister said the terrorists are playing in the hands of our enemies who want to destabilize Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed the commitment to punish these criminals for rendering the blood of Pakistani people.
He said Pakistan's people and security forces have given immense sacrifices to eliminate terrorism. He also paid tribute to the martyrs for laying down their lives for the country.
