ECP forwards request to Punjab Governor for consultation regarding date of general polls
The meeting discussed the procedure of its implementation.


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has forwarded a request to the Governor Punjab for consultation regarding the date of general elections in the province.
In today's meeting of the Election Commission that was held under the chair of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in Islamabad, it was informed that a letter in this regard has been dispatched.
Keeping in view the Lahore High Court's decision of 10th February, the meeting discussed the procedure of its implementation.
The Election Commission authorized the Special Secretary and Director General Law under the supervision of Secretary Election Commission to hold consultation with the Governor and brief the commission regarding next plan of action.
