The incident proved to be a major setback for the project.


Islamabad: The beam of the under-construction flyover in Bhara Kahu Bypass Project, Islamabad had fallen on Thursday.
According to the details, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Commissioner Islamabad Noor-ul-Amin Mengal reached the spot.
After the instance, the CDA chairman stated that the incident happened due to a crane slip. However, the inquiry is underway.
He added: “No haste is being done, safety and health cannot be compromised, and the incident will be fully investigated”.
Rescue officials confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far due to the incident.
It is pertinent to note that the Bhara Kahu Bypass project is underway for the past five months. This is the second incident that took place on the under-construction flyover in a week. Earlier on February 25, two workers were killed when the shutter of the bridge fell.
According to police initial report, the incident took place where the shutter fell due to the collision of the trailer.
Notable, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had laid the foundation stone of Bhara Kaho Bypass project on September 30, 2022.
