The ninth month of the Islamic calendar is supposed to bring a joyous wave into our lives. Fasting, praying and repenting are the major activities we are supposed to practice in Ramazan but instead, this beautiful month is now represented with pakoras, mirchay and parathas.

What you choose to eat and drink shows a big difference in our health and energy levels. The reason our digestive systems aren’t strong enough during Ramadan is because of our bad choices made during the Iftar and Sehri meals.
Medical experts have revealed the foods are better to use in Ramadan to avoid thirst and hunger during fasting.
According to experts, one should keep a note on the food and drink being consumed Iftar and Sehri however special dishes are prepared in households during Ramadan.
Experts tell what kind of food should be eaten during Sahar and Iftar and what kind of food should be avoided.
SEHRI
1. Taking a handful of fruits with a cup of porridge milk in Sehri is very beneficial.
2. Mill flour bread should be used in Sehri.
3. The use of porridge or any other grain makes a ‘Faster’ feel full for a long time.
4. Consumption of meat, fish, poultry and eggs should be increased.
5. Milk and milk products should be consumed more.
On the other hand, drinking too much water at the same time during Sehri is a harmful act; The process fills the stomach with water which often comes out in the form of vomit.
IFTARI
1. During Iftari, fresh fruit juice should be used to break the fast.
2. Foods that are high in minerals i.e. white lentils should be taken.
3. The use of fruits and vegetables that are rich in water, such as melons, watermelons, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes, oranges, papayas and pineapples should be raised.
Feast and indulge in your favourite delicacies this Ramadan but don't forget to add these tips to your daily routine.
