Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi Sunday again sent the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Bill 2023 back to the Parliament for reconsideration.
According to details, President Dr. Alvi sent the bill back to the Parliament under Article 75 (1) of the Constitution.
President said that the amendments made earlier in the National Accountability Ordinance in 1999 are under hearing in the Supreme Court.
He said that this aspect was not mentioned in the bill and the Prime Minister's advice. The President said that further amendments in the National Accountability Ordinance 1999 should be reconsidered.
Notable, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had sent the bill to the President for approval under Article 75 of the Constitution.
