The former cricketer expresses his personal belief in the significance of remaining committed to a single partner.

Lahore: Shoaib Akhtar who is known as Rawalpindi express, shared his thoughts on the prospect of getting remarried and reflected on his own marriage journey.
Akhtar expressed his personal belief in the significance of remaining committed to a single partner. He expressed these words during a podcast.
While Islam allows multiple marriages, he emphasized the importance of honoring the commitment made to one's spouse.
Akhtar stated, "One is enough. People can choose to remarry if they wish to. I believe that once you form a bond with someone, and they leave their home for you, it is equally important to make sacrifices and treat them with kindness."
He further emphasized the need for individuals to become role models for their partners, highlighting the significance of possessing strong character.
While Akhtar considers himself to be quite liberal, he acknowledged that his wife holds more conservative values. Out of respect for her preferences, he refrains from extensively sharing details about their personal lives on social media and public platforms. He emphasized his full support for his wife's choice to maintain privacy.
Recalling the story of how he met his wife, Rubab Khan, Akhtar revealed that their families had the opportunity to spend time together during a Hajj pilgrimage. It was during this time that Akhtar's mother expressed her desire to see him marry Khan. Being respectful of his mother's wishes, Akhtar agreed to the union, explaining that he had never turned down any of her requests.
