Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated several significant development projects in Islamabad today.
The projects include Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Avenue (formerly known as IJP Road), Seventh Avenue Overhead Bridge on Srinagar Highway, and the groundbreaking ceremony of Eleventh Avenue.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his disappointment over the previous government's lackluster performance, which resulted in delays in executing crucial development projects.
However, he assured that his government has expedited the work, and ongoing projects in the federal capital will be completed by next month.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced the upcoming launch of an electric bus service in Islamabad, with buses set to arrive by the 15th of next month.
He also highlighted the introduction of a solid waste management system in Islamabad, inspired by the successful model implemented in Lahore.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significance of honoring the sacrifices of martyrs, stating that the IJP Road has been renamed after Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed as a tribute to his service and sacrifices for the nation.
He emphasized those nations that remember and acknowledge their martyrs' sacrifices tend to prosper.
