Sugar, flour, prices rise in Pakistan
The rates of Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG) and ghee have also reduced.
Lahore: The price of sugar by Rs5 per kg and 20 kg bag of flour by Rs35 has increased, Bureau of Statistics stated in weekly inflation report.
According to the Institute of Statistics, the inflation rate in the country increased by 0.20 percent, after which the overall rate has reached 34.96 percent.
The statistics agency said that the prices of 19 essential commodities have increased, 12 decreased while 20 remained stable.
Mutton, brown sugar and lentil [mash dal] got expensive by Rs5 per kg. Apart from this, rice, tomatoes and potatoes are also among the expensive items.
According to Bureau of Statistics, onions became cheaper by Rs5 per kg, bananas by Rs11 per dozen and eggs by Rs13 per dozen.
Another lentil [moong dal] has become cheaper by Rs6, chickpeas lentil by Rs4 and masoor lentil by Rs1 per kg.
Moreover the rates of Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG) and ghee have also reduced.
