The terrorists were planning terrorism attack on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.


Lahore: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested nine terrorists, foiling a major terror plot on Eid-ul-Azha.
According to CTD spokesperson, nine terrorists including a woman belonging to banned organization Daesh were arrested from three cities including Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan during intelligence-based operations (IBO).
CTD added that some of the arrested terrorists have been identified as Adnan, Abdul Halim, Shiraz, Bilqis and Umar bin Khalid. The arrested woman is an active member of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) network.
Hand grenades and suicide vest making equipment have also been recovered from the terrorists.
