Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif holds official talks with IMF Managing Director.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, had a telephone conversation regarding IMF programs, exchanging views on financial matters.
The call took place on Tuesday morning between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and IMF MD.
According to the spokesperson, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to achieving mutual goals for improving the economic situation through joint efforts.
He expressed hope that consensus on program points would be reached within the next couple of days.
IMF MD Kristalina Georgieva stated that they desire to see an improvement in Pakistan's economic situation.
The Managing Director of the IMF acknowledged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's leadership commitment and appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Finance and his team in completing the program.
