Pilgrims stone devil as largest hajj in years nears to conclusion

Makkah Al Mukarram: A significant number of devoted pilgrims took part in the traditional "stoning of the devil" ritual and concluded their journey with the final "tawaf" in Makkah.

 Saudi Arabia marked the completion of the largest Hajj pilgrimage since the pandemic emerged.

With over 1.8 million participants, primarily foreigners from 160 nations, the unrestricted Hajj proved to be a remarkable gathering. The intense Saudi summer heat, with temperatures soaring to 48 degrees Celsius, presented its own set of challenges.

King Salman expressed his well-wishes and pledged support for the neediest pilgrims. The commencement of the three-day Eid ul Adha holiday signified the commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's [A.S] sacrifice.
