The incident occurred when a PIA plane was flying over Russia.

Lahore: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight destined for Canada had to abort its journey and return to Lahore after experiencing a hydraulic dysfunction. The incident occurred while flight, PK-797, was flying over Russia.
The flight, originally scheduled to depart from Lahore to Toronto on Sunday night, was compelled to make a U-turn and head back to Allama Iqbal International Airport following the detection of a technical issue with the aircraft's hydraulic system.
Flight tracking data revealed that the Boeing 777-240(LR) took off from Lahore at 4:30 am on Monday and safely landed back at the same airport at 1:30 pm.
The PIA spokesperson, Abdullah Hafeez Khan stated that due to the delay caused by the aircraft's repair, alternative arrangements would be made to transport the passengers to Toronto on another flight.
Spokesperson further assured that PIA engineers would thoroughly inspect the aircraft to rectify the hydraulic defect.
It is worth noting that the Boeing 777 aircraft executed a normal landing at Lahore airport upon its return, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew members.
