The cricketer who is also caretaker Punjab sports minister faces criticism over his style and the way he drives his vehicle to different places to check the situation.


Lahore: Wahab Riaz, the famous cricketer who is the caretaker Punjab Sports minister, came into action, visited different areas of the provincial capital to observe the blockage of the roads and the streets due to ‘record breaking rain’.
The minister, who has the huge fan following on the social media, was seen wearing long boots and walking into the rain water somewhere in Lahore.
Wahab, in one footage, was seen wearing long boots, walking into the rain water and thinking to do something for the areas inundated into rain water while the other footage showed him driving SUV and going through the rain water accumulated at a road in the provincial capital.

However, some of the social media users criticized him for careless driving during his visit to different parts of the city as his heavy SUV caused trouble to the bikers and other commuters on the roads by throwing rain water at them.

At least six people died after record-breaking rain lashed Lahore. Many low-lying areas of the provincial capital inundated into the rain water. The roads and the streets looked like the drainages or nullah with huge rain water flowing out of them.
Besides it, the power outage caused more trouble to the citizens as there was no light in major parts of the city. According to the latest reports, over 200 feeders got tripped due to the rain which disrupted the power supply.
