Islamabad: On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan has made a significant announcement.
Pakistan has extended an invitation to all regional countries to join the CPEC project.
Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, stated during a weekly media briefing that all countries in the region are welcome to participate in CPEC.
She emphasized that CPEC is an important platform for connecting regional countries and serves as an open platform of cooperation.
Zahra Baloch further mentioned that China has already invested $25 billion in the initial phase of CPEC.
The project has seen progress in various sectors, including energy and infrastructure, creating employment opportunities.
During the briefing, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
She expressed disapproval of the Swedish authorities' recording of the incident upon the request of the Swedish Muslim Council.
Such actions under the guise of freedom of expression are unacceptable.
