Suspect Abdul Basit Chaudhry intended to travel to Europe, says FIA spokesperson.

Khyber: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has apprehended Abdul Basit Chaudhry, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while he was attempting to escape from Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the suspect's name was on the Exit Control List (ECL).
He had prepared travel documents for Europe, intending to migrate there from Afghanistan.
After necessary proceedings, the FIA handed over the suspect to Rawalpindi police.
Abdul Basit is the son of former MPA Chaudhry Amjad Mahmood.
It is worth mentioning that last month, the Information Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province stated in an interview that there is a possibility of PTI leaders in Swat having a hidden presence in Afghanistan.
Information Minister Feroz Jamal revealed that PTI leaders in Swat have good relations with the network in Afghanistan.
