Incidents of Holy Quran desecration are deeply regrettable and Saudi Arabia is condemning such events: Prince Faisal bin Farhan.


Riyadh: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, stated regarding the disrespect of the Holy Quran cannot be justified under any pretext.
While addressing an emergency session of the UN Human Rights Council on the incident of burning the Quran, Prince Faisal expressed his concerns.
He stated that the burning of Quranic scriptures and their desecration during the past year are deeply saddening.
The Saudi Foreign Minister further stated the importance of freedom of religious beliefs and culture.
Saudi Arabia awaits the approval of the proposed agreement by the United Nations Human Rights Council to counter religious hatred and uphold human rights.
