US also condemned the desecration of Holy Quran, calling it a heinous act.

Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent incident of desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden.
The accused Sylvan Momika has once again desecrated the Holy Quran once again under heavy police security. He is the same person who desecrated the Holy Quran in front of the mosque in Sweden on the day of Eid-ul-Adha last month.
The spokesperson of Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said in a statement that acts based on religious hatred under the guise of freedom of expression are illegal, international law prohibits discrimination and violence on the basis of religion and belief.
Mumtaz Zahra added: “Islamophobia incidents have hurt the feelings of more than two billion Muslims, the international community should condemn such acts”.
The spokesperson continued to say that all countries should start isolating those who spread religious hatred, and it is expected that the Swedish authorities will take measures to stop the acts of incitement.
On the other hand, US also condemned the desecration of Holy Quran, calling it a heinous act.
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said we appreciate the importance of the Holy Quran and other expressions.
Addressing the press briefing in Washington Matthew said he supports basic democratic principles, not only in Pakistan but in the world as a supporter of the rule of law.
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller added: “Afghans will hold the Taliban to their promises, and are maintaining our ability to conduct operations in the region”.
He continued to say that regardless of the Taliban's promises, Americans have the right to protect their interests.
At the same time, there was a strong public reaction in Iraq after the Swedish government allowed the cursed Sylvan Momika to desecrate the Holy Quran. Angry people stormed the Swedish embassy in Iraq, vandalized it and set the embassy building on fire.
Iraq has also expelled Sweden's ambassador from the country. In this regard, the cursed Sylvan Momika said that he intends to desecrate Holy Quran and humiliate the Iraqi flag again in the next 10 days.
Who is Sylvan Momika?
The name of the cursed citizen who repeatedly desecrates the Holy Quran is Sylvan Momika, who is originally from Hamdaniya district of Mosul province, Iraq.
Momika also headed the militia in the Iraqi city of Nineveh before seeking asylum in Sweden.
He is wanted by Iraq in several cases including fraud. The accused fled to Sweden many years ago and the Iraqi government has formally requested the Swedish government to extradite Sylvan Momika so that a case can be prosecuted against him under the Iraqi Penal Code.
