Larkana: Atleast 15 prisoners have escaped from a judicial sub-jail in Sindh’s Qambar city after breaking the roof of the building.
Prisoners who broke out of the lockup included drug dealers, robbers, and murder suspects, according to a statement from the jail administration.
After the incident, Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Ijaz and Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Toheed Rehman inspected the sub-jail.
According to SSP Toheed Rehman, the jail staff's carelessness allowed the prisoners to escape. He also said that steps had been initiated to apprehend the evading prisoners once more.
Earlier in June, after being allowed to leave their cells for Fajr prayers, numerous detainees broke out of the Chaman jail in Balochistan by overwhelming the guards.
