Farrukh Habib takes oath as state minister for information and broadcasting
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly (MNA) Farrukh Habib has taken oath as State Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
According to details, the President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath taking ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
A day earlier, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry congratulated Farrukh Habib on being appointed as the state minister for information and broadcasting.
On April 13, Prime Minister Imran Khan reshuffled his cabinet and decided to appoint Shaukat Tareen as the new finance minister.
Tareen replaced federal minister Hammad Azhar, who was appointed the finance minister a few weeks ago replacing Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
Hammad Azhar was appointed as the Minister for Energy, replacing Omar Ayub and Khusro Bakhtiar was appointed the Minister for Industries and Production. Omar Ayub took charge as Minister for Economic Affairs, replacing Khusro Bakhtiar
Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry replaced Shibli Faraz as information minister while Shibli Faraz was appointed as science and technology minister.
Last month, Senator Shibli Faraz had said that Prime Minister Imran had intentions of reshuffling the cabinet as he wanted to bring in the new team.
"When a new individual comes along, they come up with new ideas," Faraz had said.
