Tareen will face inquiry like any other person as PM believes in across the board accountability: Ismail
Karachi: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said that Jahangir Tareen will face inquiry like any other person as Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to across the board accountability in the country.

While talking to media in Karachi on Thursday afternoon alongside Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry, Governor Sindh said that Prime Minister was hopeful that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen would face cases against him like the opposition is doing.
“Senator Ali Zafar has been given the task to get details about the matter and submit report to the Prime Minister and Jahangir Tareen has also reposed his confidence in Ali Zafar,” he said.
While hoping and praying that Tareen comes out clean in cases against him, he said that PTI leader and his companions do not want to hurt the party.
Referring to the Covid-19 situation, Governor Sindh said that the situation is highly concerning in the country, and people must follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to control the surge.
He also supported the moves announced by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and said that he had taken the measures after consultation with National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
“Federal and provinces have to cooperate with each other in order to effectively deal with the pandemic,” he added.
Imran Ismail further stated that Prime Minister is focused on improving economy of the country.
“Due to the effective policies of the government, positive indicators are being witnessed in several sectors. Exports and foreign exchange reserves are increasing and Pakistani rupee is stabilizing,” he said.
