Sabrina Tavares De Almeida, the victim, was fatally shot in August 2022. In March, her burial site was violated, and her head was stolen.

Brazil: Police in Brazil are searching for a culprit who stole the head of a murdered woman from her grave with the intention of performing black magic.
The victim, Sabrina Tavares De Almeida, was shot dead in August 2022. In March, her grave was desecrated, and her head was taken.
The incident was immediately reported to the police by a caretaker at a cemetery in Rio de Janeiro State, prompting an investigation that has now gained public attention.
Crime expert Fabio Barbosa Texeira revealed to local media, "We found that the concrete tomb and the wooden coffin lid had been broken, and the head was removed from the corpse."
Texeira believes that this act of grave robbery may not be directly linked to the murder but could be the work of someone involved in black magic based on other evidence related to the incident.
He further disclosed, "In place of the head, we found a clay pot containing burned materials. The police are now searching for the suspect responsible for stealing the head from the grave. However, a prime suspect in the brutal murder case has already been identified."
Last August, Sabrina and her mother Fatima D'Agostino Tavares were attacked in their home by an intruder who shot them while they were sleeping.
Sabrina died on the spot, but her mother survived the attack.
Shortly after the incident, the police named Fatima's former sister-in-law, Matheus Da Silva Osorio Ferreira, as a suspect.
Matheus was married to a police officer who was murdered in 2016. After her husband's death, Fatima became the sole heir to their house, which led to resentment from Matheus.
In an attempt to gain ownership of the property, Matheus engaged in a legal battle with Fatima but lost the case.
Matheus never accepted the court's decision and began to threaten Fatima. Though the police arrested her, she was released due to a lack of evidence.
