Quetta: The series of death toll due to monsoon rains continues in Balochistan and the number of people killed in rain-related accidents in the province has reached 16.
According to the report of Provincial Disaster Management Authoriy (PDMA) department regarding the losses caused by monsoon rains in Balochistan during the last one month, the number of deaths due to monsoon rains in Balochistan has risen to 16.
The report stated that three people were killed in Loralai, two in Panjgur, Zhob and Naseerabad.
While one person was killed in Awaran, Qila Saifullah, Khuzdar, Dera Bugti, Pishin, Kech and Jhal Magsi each due to rains.
It has been told in the report that 08 men, 02 women and 06 children are among the dead, while 24 people were also injured in the province due to rains.
According to the report, 1330 houses were completely and 579 were partially destroyed in the province due to rains. 628 cattle were killed, while 486 hectares of crops were affected.
24 kilometers of roads were washed away in the province, while 320 solar panels were damaged and the most 1007 houses were flooded in Kharan, the report added.
