New Delhi: Bollywood star Jimmy Sheirgill and acclaimed director, Eeshwar Nivas including 35 others were booked for violating coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Reportedly, the crew was shooting for a Punjabi web series, titled ‘Your Honor’ which is a remake of an Israeli film actor Jasjit Singh Gill more commonly known as Jimmy Sheirgill was arrested for breaking the Covid-19 protocol.
According to a report by Indian news agency, Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) a case has been registered against the actoe and other crew members in Ludhiana on April 28.

The case has been lodged under sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code.
The film crew didn’t asked for permission from the concerned authorities to shoot in the private school during the night curfew hours.

The director is said to have already got the bail.
India is currently battling with Coronavirus-led crises. Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka and few other regions have reported running out of oxygen as well as other medical supplies.
Meanwhile, country's official Covid death toll has now surpassed 200,000 as the country is currently reeling under the second wave of Covid-19.
In view of the sharp rise in coronavirus-linked fatalities and cases, gatherings have been restricted to contain the spread of the novel virus.
Several states have imposed lockdown-like restrictions and night curfews to contain the spread of the second wave.
