Waziristan ‘football girl’ stunned the internet with her viral picture
Picture of a young girl playing football on social media has stunned the internet with many praising the girl for playing a progressive sport in tribal area of Pakistan.
Known as Asma Hafiz, the girl hails from a village of Waziristan.
While giving interview to local , Asma said that there is no school for girls beyond primary in her village.
She wants to become a doctor, but will have to leave the boys' school after the sixth grade.
“There is no school for girls in our village where I can get education after primary. I am presently studying in third grade but I won't be able to get further education as this school is for boys only after middle. I request government to build a school for girls only in our area so that we can continue seeking education,” she said.
