‘Covid Third Wave’: Pakistan reports new single-day record in COVID-19 deaths
Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,377 cases of coronavirus were reported while 161 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,149.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 837,523.
As many as 733,062 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,326 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 308,529 in the province with 8,683 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 286,521 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,678.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 120,590 in the province with 3,423 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 22,664 confirmed cases while 239 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 17,397 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 487. On the other hand, there are 5,330 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 76,492 cases in the capital city while 693 people have lost their lives.
