Bushra Bibi writes letter to Punjab Home Secretary for B-Class facilities for Imran Khan
The wife of the PTI chairman has also asked that Imran Khan should be permitted to have access to home-cooked meals, in accordance with the stipulations of the jail manual.


Lahore: Bushra Bibi, the spouse of Imran Khan, Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), on Friday wrote a formal letter to the Home Secretary of Punjab, advocating for the provision of 'B-Class facilities' to her husband in accordance with the 'Pakistan Prison Rules'.
In the correspondence addressed to the Home Secretary of Punjab, Bushra Bibi highlighted that the entitlement to B-Class facilities should be extended to her husband, Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, based on his legitimate rights. She underscored that these privileges are particularly pertinent due to his past role as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Moreover, she emphasized that Imran Khan should be permitted to have access to home-cooked meals, in accordance with the stipulations of the jail manual. The letter further asserted that his personal physician ought to be granted permission to visit and conduct medical evaluations of the PTI chief.
Highlighting a specific legal matter, Bushra Bibi pointed out that despite an Islamabad court's directive to transfer her husband to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, this directive was not executed as of now.
Urging the Home Secretary to launch a comprehensive legal investigation, she urged that the current basis for her husband's detention within their jurisdiction be meticulously clarified.
Earlier, District and Sessions Court handed a three-year prison sentence to PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana criminal case. The court further imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the convicted PTI leader. Notably, the court also ruled that the former Prime Minister is disqualified from holding public office for a span of five years.
