President Alvi calls for strengthening cultural, economic ties with Saudi Arabia

Islamabad: President Arif Alvi called for further strengthening bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia (KSA) in diverse fields, particularly economy, investment, and culture.

Speaking to Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, who had come to see him with a delegation, the president stated that Pakistan deeply cherished its connections with Saudi Arabia, which were built on shared values, a similar past, and interpersonal ties.

The president welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further developing its economic ties with the Kingdom for the mutual benefit of the two friendly nations.

The Saudi government received praise from President Alvi for its exceptional planning for the Hajj this year.

He emphasized the need to increase bilateral trade because Pakistan offered excellent potential for investment in a variety of fields, including IT, renewable energy, the growth of industry and infrastructure, and the hospitality industry.

He expressed the expectation that the Saudi government will swiftly purchase the Pakistan House in Markazziah, Madina, using the money set aside as compensation for the demolition of the two Pakistan Houses in Madina.

The president expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia and its leadership for their unwavering support of essential Muslim causes, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir Conflict, Palestine, and Afghanistan through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He also expressed the hope that Saudi Arabia would continue to play a significant role in the region.

He praised the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman's initiative in restoring diplomatic ties with Iran and noted how well-liked that leadership was throughout the Muslim world.

The visiting Saudi minister said that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were very strong that needed to be further enhanced for the mutual benefit of the two brotherly countries. Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said the Kingdom would continue to provide good facilities to the pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah.

President Alvi also asked the visiting dignitary to communicate his warm regards to the Saudi King and Crown Prince/Prime Minister of the Kingdom. He also thanked the Saudi government for its continued support and financial assistance to Pakistan.
