Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday postponed the hearing on the petition challenging the sentence of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case until the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issues its order.

A three-person court presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the Toshakhana case.

It is commendable that the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court is looking into the situation, but CJP Bandial suggested that the High Court decide first.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial enquired about the presence of any attorneys general. The PTI chief's custody conditions will be questioned in today's order, and a report on the facilities made available to him had been demanded.

Sardar Latif Khosa, the attorney representing PTI Chairman, claimed to have made arguments to the high court. On his arguments, the supreme court was anticipated to rule.

When Justice Jamal Mandokhail questioned the Chief Justice of Pakistan about the outcome of the high court's hearing, he was informed that it was excellent that the high court had made the initial ruling before to the Supreme Court.

The Islamabad High Court judges shouldn't be criticized, according to Justice Jamal Mandokhail.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that judges were often criticised in the media, but they would continue to make decisions based on their duty under the constitution and law.

The petition hearing was postponed by the Supreme Court till the Islamabad High Court issued its ruling.

The Islamabad High Court also postponed the Toshakhana case hearing till tomorrow, at which point the Election Commission's attorneys will continue their arguments.
