Rawalpindi: Atleast 16 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours, continuing the dengue epidemic in Rawalpindi.
According to data provided by the Health Ministry Punjab, 16 new dengue cases were reported in multiple hospitals.
The number of dengue cases has reached 261 as majority of the patients are under treatment in Benazir Bhutto hospital, DHQ, and in the Holy Family hospital.
Moreover, after devastating floods destroyed havoc throughout most of the country, a dengue epidemic has taken hold in certain places.
Following eight buildings have been sealed due to violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) designed to stop the dengue virus, and 69 cases have been reported during this time.
