Priest injured in firing incident in Jaranwala
The culprits managed to flee the scene right after the incident.
Faislabad: In Jaranwala, a locality in Faisalabad, an unidentified assailant opened fire, resulting in a priest sustaining injuries.
According to the police, the wounded priest, identified as Eliezer, is in critical condition.
After the shooting, the culprits managed to flee the scene. As of now, no arrests have been made, but the authorities have initiated efforts to apprehend the suspects.
It's worth noting that just last month, in Jaranwala's Christian Colony, miscreants set fire to several churches and homes belonging to Christians.
Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar and Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited the affected areas, assuring justice to the Christian community.
