The PM expressed the intention to provide relief to traders: Governor Sindh.

Islamabad: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has clarified that the proposal is to reduce, not eliminate, the sales tax on electricity bills.
Following a meeting with the Prime Minister in Islamabad, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori spoke to the media, stating that the Prime Minister expressed the intention to provide relief to traders while also appreciating the efforts to curb smuggling.
It should be noted that the proposal is to reduce the sales tax on electricity bills.
When the sales tax of Rs. 24 was introduced on electricity, it was approximately Rs. 100 for a dollar.
Now, it has reached around Rs. 300 per dollar.
The recommendation is to lower the sales tax to Rs. 24 again.
If a 50% relief is applied to the sales tax, there will be a reduction of approximately 10 to 12 rupees in the tariff, which will be a significant relief for the trader community.
Governor Sindh further stated that in the coming days, there is a possibility of an additional Rs. 18 reduction in the dollar's value. In the next 10 days, I see the dollar staying below 300.
