Islamabad: The spokesperson for the Foreign Office of Pakistan has reported that modern weapons have fallen into the hands of terrorists in Afghanistan, posing a threat to Pakistan, and these weapons are being used in attacks on Pakistan and its security agencies.
During a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed concern over the availability of new weapons in Afghanistan and their use by terrorists to launch attacks on Pakistan.
She emphasized the need for peace along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and stated that if Pakistan closes its border, it is due to security concerns.
Pakistan is in talks with the Afghan government regarding this matter.
Regarding the situation in Chitral, the Foreign Office spokesperson conveyed Pakistan's concerns to the Afghan authorities.
She mentioned that the Home Department and relevant agencies could provide details on this situation.
