Bilawal expresses concern over allies' election distance
The PPP chairman underscores the historical support of the city for PPP and reaffirmed the party's readiness to face the forthcoming elections.
Hyderabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, made a significant statement on Sunday, highlighting concerns about the party's allies distancing themselves from upcoming elections.
Speaking at an event in Hyderabad, Bilawal underscored the historical support of the city for PPP and reaffirmed the party's readiness to face the forthcoming elections.
Bilawal expressed his unwavering commitment to continuing his family's legacy of serving the people of Pakistan, recognizing the enduring connection between Hyderabad and his family's dedication to public service. He paid tribute to his late mother, Benazir Bhutto, and his grandfather, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, for their invaluable contributions to the nation.
Reflecting on his mother's political journey, Bilawal noted that even in challenging times, the people of Hyderabad stood firmly by her side, leading her to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan twice.
Furthermore, Bilawal emphasized the historical role of women in Pakistani politics and the hurdles they have confronted. He highlighted the PPP's resilience in the face of character assassination campaigns and encouraged the youth to critically analyze the root causes of Pakistan's challenges.
Bilawal reiterated his party's dedication to the welfare of the people and took the opportunity to critique the PTI government, particularly concerning the controversial treatment of the former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman. He stressed the significance of equitable healthcare access for all citizens and raised concerns about the MQM-P's alleged negligence in addressing Karachi's water crisis.
Bilawal pointed out that despite decades of water scarcity in Sindh, numerous projects have been proposed by different governments. He acknowledged his family's efforts in initiating water projects in the region and credited the PPP for making progress in tackling the water crisis in Hyderabad.
Assuring his supporters, Bilawal pledged that the PPP would persistently work towards the betterment of the people and foster unity among opposition parties in the upcoming elections.
He asserted that the PPP would not leave any political space for the PTI Chairman, whom he referred to as a political puppet. Bilawal encouraged all parties not to shy away from participating in the elections, as they would determine the nation's future.
Highlighting the PPP's track record, Bilawal enumerated the party's achievements and development initiatives during its previous tenure, promising that if the PPP secures victory in the upcoming elections, it will continue to implement development projects for the benefit of the masses.
