Indian cricketer Bumrah was blessed with a baby son on September 4 after the India-Pakistan match.


Colombo: In a heartwarming exchange, the Indian cricket team's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who recently became a father, expressed his deep gratitude to Shaheen Shah Afridi through a heartfelt post on X.
During the Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi extended his congratulations to Bumrah on the birth of his son.
Jasprit Bumrah's son was born on September 4, immediately after the India-Pakistan match. The Indian cricketer promptly left for India to be with his wife and newborn.
In a video shared on social media, Shaheen, the thoughtful gift giver, congratulated Bumrah and conveyed, "While we battle fiercely on the field as rivals, off the pitch, we are just ordinary people."
Responding to Shaheen's post, Bumrah expressed his gratitude for the beautiful gesture, emphasizing that he and his family deeply appreciated the love shown.
Due to heavy rain in Colombo, the India-Pakistan Asia Cup match was postponed. It is now scheduled to be replayed today on Reserve Day.
In yesterday's match, Pakistan won the toss and chose to field. India managed to score 147 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 24.1 overs.
Rohit Sharma contributed 56 runs, and Shubman Gill scored 58 runs, with both wickets taken by Shadab and Shaheen.
KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were at the crease with 17 runs and 8 runs, respectively, when rain interrupted the match.
