Doctors are facing a shortage of life-saving medicines in the hospital.

Lahore: In response to severe financial difficulties, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore has announced the indefinite closure of its Outpatient Department (OPD).
This announcement has raised concerns among patients who rely on the hospital's services, many of whom travel from distant areas.
Dr. Hasan Razan, President of the Young Doctors Association, revealed that the hospital has not disbursed salaries for two months, and it currently lacks essential life-saving medicines.
Additionally, the hospital's medical machinery is reportedly in a state of disrepair.
Dr. Razan has been advocating for these issues for a year, with little response from authorities.
Despite a visit from the Federal Health Minister, the problems persisted, and no action was taken to address them.
In response to these challenges, doctors have initiated protests, vowing to continue until their demands for salary payment and the availability of medicines are met.
They have also warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, the protests may escalate further, potentially impacting the broader scope of hospital operations.
