Investigation has been started against 14 people including private town owners and land revenue officers of Rawalpindi.


Islamabad: Forest land case file against former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been reopened.
According to details, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sought the details of purchase and sale of movable and immovable properties of 14 persons including Parvez Elahi from the Deputy Commissioners of 15 districts including Islamabad till September 25.
According to the NAB call-up notice, Parvez Elahi has again come under fire in the case of transferring the land of the Forest Department to a private town.
Investigation has been started against 14 people including private town owners and land revenue officers of Rawalpindi.
NAB stated that Parvez Elahi is accused of illegally transferring Takht Pari forest land near Rawalpindi to a private town. It has sought the details of the assets of these officers from the Deputy Commissioners of Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Gwadar, Multan, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Peshawar.
Apart from this, details have also been sought from Attock, Sheikhupura, Jhelum, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Faisalabad and DC Gujranwala.
These officers include Javed Majeed, Ghulam Muhammad Sikandar, Jahangir Ghori, Jameel Ahmed, Irfan Elahi, Syed Jamal Mustafa, Asif Qureshi, Anwaar-ul-Haq, Shafqat Ali Mirza, Tasawwur Hussain, Muhammad Nawaz, Khalid Masood and Abdul Zahoor.
