FIA take four suspects into custody over charges of fake traveling documents
The FIA launched an investigation to combat human smuggling and dismantle this network of counterfeit documents in different parts of the country.
Gujranwala: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the Gujranwala zone on Saturday detained four individuals, including a wanted person attempting to travel abroad using fake documents.
The suspects, namely Zaheer Abbas, Ali Raza, and Muhammad Imran, were apprehended in Gujranwala and Wazirabad. Zaheer Abbas, operating as an agent, was involved in producing fraudulent passports, permits, and visas for ordinary citizens.
Among the four arrested individuals, Ahsan Mukhtar was caught trying to travel to the Netherlands with counterfeit travel documents, including a fake Portuguese permit.
Besides it, Muhammad Imran, a wanted suspect, had collected a significant sum of money by deceiving people with promises of securing employment in Italy.
The FIA launched an investigation to combat human smuggling and dismantle this network of counterfeit documents in different parts of the country.
Prior to this incident, the FIA had arrested four alleged fraudsters involved in the creation of counterfeit travel documents. These suspects had set up a fake lab for producing fake travel documents.
During their arrest, FIA officials seized fake passports from India, Italy, Bangladesh, the United States, and Canada in the possession of the individuals.
The agency said that the suspects were found to be engaged in the production of counterfeit visa stickers, stamps, printers, and various related tools.
